Strawberry Compote

This one of those things which can be used in many ways – as a sauce for your pancakes, as a topping for your  cheesecake – a perfect accompaniment to have on your hands during the holiday season. And it is easy to make too.

Strawberry Compote

Ingredients:

  • Strawberries –  1 Cup, trimmed and quartered
  • Sugar – 3 tbs
  • Lemon juice – a dash, to help preserve their color

In a saucepan, bring to boil to boil the strawberries and sugar with just enough water to cover the strawberries on medium heat.
